This chaplet is made using garnet Czech Nirvana Beads and clear Swarovski crystals. The St. Philomena and heart shaped center are made of solid bronze.
St. Philomena, a young virgin and martyr, came to be known after nearly 17 centuries of silence. Her bones were found in 1802 in a catacomb belonging to Priscilla. After her relics were taken to Naples, great miracles were attributed to her including cures of cancer, healing of wounds and even heart ailments. Many Popes and saints have had a great devotion to St. Philomena including St. John Vianney, St. John Neumann, Pope Leo XII and Pope Pius X. Her chaplet, founded by the Holy Cure of Ars (St. John Vianney), consists of red beads to signify her martyrdom (1 for each year of her life) and white or clear beads to symbolize her Virginity and Purity. See www.philomena.us for the chaplet of St. Philomena prayers and more information. St. Philomena, pray for us!
