Our Lady of Victory refers to several battles in which tiny Catholic armies miraculously triumphed--through the prayers of the Holy Rosary--to defeat large armies. Two of the most famous are the Battle of Muret - September 12, 1213 and the Battle of Lepanto - October 7, 1571. Both of these great victories were obtained by the all-powerful rosary of Our Lady. This medal also says "Lackawanna, NY" referring to the Our Lady of Victory Basilica, a Catholic parish and national shrine in New York . A little over an 1 1/2" with bail.
